Features

Herkimer diamonds are a special type of quartz that are mined in the Herkimer region of New York, USA. Their greatest feature is that they emit a sharp brilliance like a diamond even without any processing. The crystals, which have grown underground for hundreds of millions of years, have a "skin" on the surface and may contain rainbow-colored inclusions and black sand (magnetite) inside.
